Attention all cycling enthusiasts in South Africa!
Are you ready to join a global InsurTech business and support cycling-mad customers Down Under? We’re looking for dynamic Claims Consultants who are passionate about bicycles, customer support, and delivering a world-class claims experience.
In this role, you will manage the end-to-end claims process, support customers through their claims journey, identify any potential fraudulent claims, and ensure that all claims are handled in line with policy guidelines, company procedures, and industry regulations.

Main Activities:
We provide an end-to-end claims service, which includes contacting customers, gathering information and evidence, reviewing and validating claims, sourcing the correct repair or replacement options, and facilitating the final settlement or replacement process.
You will be responsible for delivering a superior claims service and ensuring that all claims are investigated, assessed, and settled within the limits of the policy coverage. You will also support the AU/NZ team by providing technical claims knowledge and bicycle-related insight where required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the end-to-end claims process from lodgement to settlement.
- Handle day-to-day claim lodgements, customer inquiries, and reported insurance claims.
- Answer incoming calls and support customers with empathy, certainty, guidance, and professionalism.
- Provide accurate advice and clearly explain the next steps in the claims process.
- Gather and review supporting information, documents, evidence, and quotations.
- Identify potential fraudulent claims and follow the correct policies and procedures.
- Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Liaise with customers, assessors, repairers, suppliers, and service providers in a prompt and professional manner.
- Resolve complaints and disputes within agreed service levels.
- Ensure all incoming emails, calls, tasks, and claim updates are actioned within defined service levels.
- Authorise claim payments within the approved delegated authority.
- Ensure claims are processed according to policy guidelines, company procedures, approved suppliers, and industry regulations.
- Maintain accurate and detailed notes on electronic claim files.
- Ensure claims decisions are technically sound and clearly communicated to customers and stakeholders.
- Manage daily productivity to ensure that all calls, tasks, and claims-related work are completed.
Who This Role Is Best Suited For:
Whether you have 3–5 years’ working experience in a customer service role, experience in the cycling industry, insurance knowledge, or a completed three-year degree, we want to hear from you!

Working Hours:
We don’t beat around the bush: working Australian office hours from South Africa is tough. But if you have the grit and discipline it takes, you’ll gain valuable international experience, work with a supportive team, and be rewarded with an environment that makes the challenge worthwhile.
Shifts take place between 12:00 AM and 8:00 AM, Monday to Friday, from our Stellenbosch office.
Working hours fall between 12 AM and 12 PM
